Christopher E. Butel is a co-founder of IIMS Dataworks. He has an extensive background in the design and management of large scale commercial and government pension schemes in Australia. He has worked extensively in India and China providing consulting and strategic advisory services to governments, large corporations and multilateral agencies in relation to pension reforms and finance markets more generally.
Dr. Ajay Shah is a Senior Fellow at the National Institute of Public Finance and Policy. Till October 2005, he served as consultant with the Department of Economic Affairs at the Indian Ministry of Finance. During this period, he was instrumental in the public policy review and reform initiatives related to India's pension sector. His areas of interest include market microstructure, designing financial instruments and market mechanisms, pension reforms, risk management, computational finance, banking, public finance and open-economy macroeconomics.
Hemant Sahai is the Managing Partner of Hemant Sahai Associates (HSA) focussed on corporate law and finance. He has advised the Indian government on the legislative and regulatory architecture for the NPS. Hemant also has extensive experience as a regulatory advisor to the insurance sector and has participated in the establishment of insurance sector joint ventures in India.
Gautam Bhardwaj is a co-founder of IIEF and IIMPS. He co-authored the OASIS Report that provided the blueprint for India's current pension reform in 2000. Since 1998, he has served as advisor to the Indian Ministry of Finance and subsequently also to the PFRDA on pension policy, regulatory and implementation issues.
